Spicy, Cucumber Margarita

This is my ALL TIME FAV! AND, husband—approved. Seriously, the secret is in the simplicity. There is no need for fancy mixes— just fresh fruits AND fresh veggies (healthy right?!)!

Spring, summer, fall, winter - it doesn’t matter. This spicy marg is my go-to! The recipe below is for a full pitcher (which is how I like to make them). Leftovers keep well in the fridge in a small (or large - I don’t judge), lidded pitcher. Always a good idea to be prepared with an extra stash for any “emergencies” that may arise. In case you didn’t know, this marg is actually medicinal. It can cure any bad day AND erase from memory any toddler tantrum, all the while restoring your sanity!

I always use a Blanco tequila for this recipe. My favorite is Casamigos - SO incredibly smooth, but also a little pricey. For a more affordable option, I love the Blanco Hornitos.

Ingredients:

1 cup tequila
1 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1/3 cup Grand Marnier (can sub with Triple Sec)
1/4 cup simple syrup (optional)
1 fresh jalapeno, sliced
1/2 cucumber, sliced

Directions:

Add all ingredient to a lidded pitched and shake to combine. Let set in fridge at least an hour to chill while the flavors of the jalapeño and cucumber combine. Shake before serving, and pour over a cup with ice. Garnish with a cucumber and/or lime slice. For added flavor, add a salt or sugar rim. (If storing leftovers, remove jalapeños and cucumbers from pitcher after a day)

Level-up:

If you like a smoky flavor, replace the full cup of Blanco tequila with a half cup of Blanco tequila and a half cup of Mezcal. Delish!
